Welcome! Join me On the Wild Side where you can find out about the wild world, and about the good things happening to help the wild survive an thrive.

Welcome to my podcast, a place for conversations about local natural wonders in the UNESCO Howe Sound Biosphere. I’ll take you on a journey through our natural world as it unfolds around us with people who are working to protect nature . We’ll consider our connection to the wild, how we impact the wild things and how the wild things impact us. I will bring you stories of hope and discovery. So come along with me and connect to the wild side.

Show Notes
OntheWildside.ca was inspired by a lone young mountain lion, a widely feared and misunderstood species. and a small island community where wonderful wild things abound.
Launched with borrowed equipment and a simple hope to inspire compassion for the wild creatures and respect for the natural world. This first episode is a bit of an experiment, and part of a steep learning curve about podcasting. I'm hoping it will be the first of many episodes with relevant topics that expand our understanding of the natural world through interesting guests and great stories.
Since I'm just beginning to learn how to do this, the format will probably change and episodes may not be regularly released for a while, but sign up for email notices and I'll let you know when an episode is coming out.
Thanks so much to Don Shafer for helping with help and technical support and to Doug Woods for help with sound quality. "Hey Louise" theme music by In Bold.
